I have known Ida Lewis for over 20 years. She is a dear friend of mine. Over the past 10 years, as a single mother, she has completed her bachelor's degree in Biology (Cal State East Bay, Hayward, CA) as well as completing a 3 year Pharmacy Program (University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA). During this time, she worked part-time as a pharmacy technician for Longs Drug Store (Oakland, CA). Even though Ida was focused on achieving her dream of becoming a pharmacist, she never lost focus of what was most important...her son Jordan.
Ida made the time to be an in class volunteer as well as give her time for sporting activities at her son's school.
Even though she diligently attended school to provide a better life for Jordan, she has always stayed focused on his needs. She is a GREAT MOTHER!
Ida has traveled down a long and winding road, coming across many obstacles. However, she remained strong and continued on her path.
I am very happy to say that Ida has graduated successfully and has passed the state board to receive her pharmacy license.
